I spied these old Indian Khadi Hundi notes in a few places recently and thought I
should get a few and learn a bit more.It seems these notes were used as currency from the 1950's and up to possibly the 1990's.The areas of circulation were in and around Khadi cloth production industries.
Mainly a village or cottage industry.I have not yet found out a lot about these, basically what's above.
I don't know the issue dates or how many issues were made There have also been Khadi Hundicoinsissuedmuch more recently. The cottage and village industries commision is online, but nought about their currency.Ghandi was inspirational in getting the village Khadi cloth industries going. The sets I have come in Rs2, Rs5 and Rs10 denominations...
i have also one khadi hundi old 2 notes
